Wildcard Series Goes the Distance, Pawtucket Prevails Saturday, October 2nd , 2049 It went the distance, but the Pawtucket Red Sox finally disposed of the Omaha Storm Chasers 7-5 in the series clincher at McCoy Stadium. Winning the finale gave the Red Sox the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Division Championship. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Pawtucket designated hitter David Moore. He batted .545 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. "David deserves it," said Red Sox manager Gary Sanchez. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
