AL's Best Batter Picked Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 For a rookie just breaking in, Kuemon Shishido certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the AL Batter of the Month award for August. The 24-year-old first baseman for the Chattanooga Lookouts hit .416 with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. In his stats this season, Shishido has posted a batting average of .300 with 136 hits in 453 at-bats, 21 home runs and 73 RBIs. He has also scored 52 runs, walked 37 times and compiled a .355 OBP. |
