Great Day for Aviles -- 6 Hits Monday, September 6th , 2049 It was a magical day at the plate for San Antonio Missions right fielder Pat Aviles. The 26-year-old Aviles helped lift San Antonio to a 29-2 win over the Tennessee Smokies today at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Aviles smacked 6 hits in 7 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Pat Aviles singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Emir Jalil in the 8th. In 126 games this season Aviles has compiled a .239 batting average with 101 hits and 11 home runs. He has also scored 68 times and knocked in 40 runs. |
