Braves Advance to World Series Monday, October 18th , 2049 The Mississippi Braves bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship. Mississippi downed the Mobile BayBears 3-2 tonight at Trustmark Park, to take the Conference Championship 4-1. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Ricardo Sandoval, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Eastern League." For the series, Sandoval had 5 hits for .250, with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
