Abrego Wins A Batter of the Month Monday, February 1st , 2049 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 23 Carlos Abrego has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Lynchburg Hillcats star can enjoy the numbers he put up in January, which have garnered him the nod as the A Division Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .421 average with 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and 12 runs scored. This season Abrego is batting .333 with 36 hits, 12 home runs, 29 RBIs, 14 walks, .438 OBP and has scored 25 runs. He has played in 35 games. |
