Trueblood Belts 3 HR for LumberKings Wednesday, August 25th , 2049 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Ashford University Field buzzing, Clinton LumberKings first baseman Sean Trueblood blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 10-7 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits. "Everything was clicking," Trueblood told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Trueblood shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," LumberKings manager Vance Cobb said. "Sean played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Sean Trueblood grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Brian Trejo in the 8th, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Zika in the 10th and hit a three-run home run off Chance Robinson in the 11th. This year Trueblood is hitting .230 with 24 home runs and 57 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .313 clip and scored 44 runs. |
