5-for-5 Game for Martinez Wednesday, September 15th , 2049 It was a magical day at the plate for Hagerstown Suns second baseman Alex Martinez. The 20-year-old Martinez helped lift Hagerstown to a 28-1 win over the South Bend Cubs today at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. Martinez smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Alex Martinez hit a two-run triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Thus far this season Martinez has hit .201 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 13 times. |
