Dragons Pitching Ravaged by Ortega Friday, September 24th , 2049 All game long, Fort Wayne's Cesar Ortega was rattling the walls at Parkview Field and banging out base hits against the Dayton Dragons. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the TinCaps had a 5-2 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 30-year-old third baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Cesar Ortega singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. This year Ortega has 20 home runs and a .256 batting average. |
