Injury Brings Season to End for Amparo Thursday, May 27th , 2049 Alex Amparo had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the West Michigan medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The West Michigan reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. Taking a look at his season stats for 2049, Amparo has made 10 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark with a 2.91 ERA. In pitching 21.2 innings, he has totaled 22 strikeouts and 12 walks. |
