Hata Takes Charge, Blanks Fort Wayne, 5-0 Tuesday, June 15th , 2049 Gonnohyoe Hata kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Dayton Dragons were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Fort Wayne TinCaps at Parkview Field today. The left-handed Hata gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 10 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Hata said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." This year Hata has worked 67.1 innings with 84 strikeouts en route to a 5-5 record and a 4.41 ERA. |
