Durland Brings Home NL Batter of Month Honor Thursday, July 1st , 2049 At only 22 years of age, Melvin Durland could very well be having many more months like the last this in his career. That would be great news for fans of the West Virginia Power, as June was one to remember for the left fielder and he has captured the National League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .323 with 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored. On the season, Durland is batting .304 with 9 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 58 games. |
