Hit Parade: Rivera Gets Cycle
Wednesday, July 7th , 2049
Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Dutchess Stadium. Tony Rivera of the Spokane Indians accomplished the feat against Hudson Valley Renegades.

Rivera went 4-for-4 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 19-3 Spokane victory.

"That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Rivera said after the game.

Rivera also scored 4 runs and had 6 runs batted in in a day to remember for both Rivera and the crowd at Dutchess Stadium.

Tony Rivera hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Takenori Iwata in the 6th.

So far this season Rivera is hitting .303 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 132 at-bats and a .395 OBP.
