Olvera Gets 5 Hits Monday, August 2nd , 2049 Hector Olvera did a number on the Angels in the Minnesota (NYP) 18-1 victory today, and the number was 5. The Twins right fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Academia de Abel Garcia to lead his club past the Los Angeles (NYP) Angels. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Hector Olvera hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th. This year Olvera is hitting .252 with 7 home runs. |
