Hensley Goes 5-for-6
Monday, August 2nd , 2049
Rome Braves second baseman Manny Hensley really lit up the Cincinnati (NYP) Reds with a 5-hit barrage today at Baseball City Complex -- a performance that sparked the Braves to a 12-1 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
Manny Hensley hit a solo-shot off Phil McLaughlin in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Hensley is batting .264 with 13 home runs, 71 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 311 at-bats, 56 walks and a .381 OBP. Hensley has played in 91 games.
