Bentz 5-for-5 for Ironbirds Friday, August 6th , 2049 5 times is the charm -- at least for Ryan Bentz. The Aberdeen Ironbirds left fielder tore up the Tri-City ValleyCats to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Ripken Stadium today. The offensive onslaught from Bentz powered the Ironbirds to a 8-2 win. "Bentz was a tough out today," Tri-City manager Bert Campaneris II said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Ryan Bentz singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 8th. This season Bentz is batting .221 with 42 hits, 1 home run, 15 RBIs, .361 OBP and has scored 23 runs. |
