Injury Derails Season for Richardson Thursday, August 19th , 2049 Obviously disappointed, Mike Richardson confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Brooklyn starting pitcher offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 31-year-old Richardson suffered a damaged elbow ligament on 08/16/2049 and has been out of action since. To date this season, Richardson has registered 16 starts, 8-6 won-lost mark, 3.23 ERA, 111.1 IP, 109 strikeouts and 27 walks. Opposing teams have hit .205 against him. |
