Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Williamsport Friday, August 20th , 2049 The Williamsport Crosscutters are bad -- very bad. And as typically happens during very bad seasons, the Crosscutters were officially, mathematically, eliminated from postseason contention today. Before this season, the Crosscutters last missed the playoffs in 2047. In the 34 years they have been a New York-Penn League franchise, they have made the playoffs 17 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Crosscutters have missed the playoffs 7 times. Williamsport last won the World Series in 2021. |
