Boivin Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, September 8th , 2049 George Boivin said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Dwyer Stadium, and it showed in the box score. The Batavia right fielder had a fantastic 5-for-7 day against the Eugene Emeralds, leading his club to victory, 29-1. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Boivin said later." George Boivin hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season Boivin is batting .244 with 110 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 68 times and has 58 runs batted in. |
