Fisher 5-for-8 for Batavia
Wednesday, September 8th , 2049
It was high-fives all around for Jim Fisher at Dwyer Stadium today.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Eugene Emeralds. Fisher smashed 5 hits in 8 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 29-1 win.
"Jim was hitting everything," said Muckdogs manager Connor Kaden. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Emeralds manager Chris Rowley told BNN beat writers that Fisher "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Fisher oversleeps next time."
Jim Fisher flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 8th.
So far this year Fisher has 2 home runs and a .298 batting average.
