Weeks 5-for-7 for Black Bears Sunday, September 12th , 2049 All game long, West Virginia's Mike Weeks was rattling the walls at PK Park and banging out base hits against the Eugene Emeralds. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Black Bears had a 30-0 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 18-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Mike Weeks grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Brendan Malzone in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. So far this season Weeks has 4 home runs and a .221 batting average. |
