Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Tuesday, September 14th , 2049 If there wasn't a history between Joe Bower of West Virginia and Brad Guffin of Brooklyn, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 9 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Bower said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In the 2049 season Bower is hitting .254 with 3 home runs. Guffin has posted a 1-4 record for the year with a 4.32 ERA. Teams are hitting .244 against him and he has rung up 31 strikeouts in 41.2 innings. |
