Hillsboro Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Thursday, October 7th , 2049 Depending on your loyalties, the Round 1 was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Hillsboro Hops and the Tri-City Dust Devils giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Hops came out on top, winning 7-0 at Ron Tonklin Field today to take the series 4-3. "We're lucky to be going into the Divisional Championship," said Hillsboro pitcher Nikita Schram. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Schram earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .250 average, with 2 home runs, 4 RBI and 6 runs scored. The Divisional Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
