Fernandez Befuddles Staten Island in 6-0 Hudson Valley Win Thursday, April 8th , 2049 Gerardo Fernandez kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Hudson Valley Renegades were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Staten Island Yankees at Richmond County Bank Ballpark today. The right-handed Fernandez gave up no runs in his start, permitted 1 hit and had 9 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Fernandez said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." |
