Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Thursday, April 22nd , 2049 If there wasn't a history between Chris Lockart of Hudson Valley and J.J. Maetzold of Aberdeen, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Lockart said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In his season totals, Lockart has no home runs, .196 BA, .328 OBP, 2 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has played in 16 games. Maetzold has made 6 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 8.2 innings he has a 0-1 record, 13.50 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 8 walks. |
