3-HR Game for Gonzales
Sunday, August 22nd , 2049
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what William Gonzales did today at H.P. Hunnicutt Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 10-9.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Gonzales said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Seattle (APP) Mariners first baseman blistered the Princeton Rays for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Princeton manager Jake Koehler said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
William Gonzales grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Alex Pritchard in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Carey in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Arredondo in the 8th and walked in the 10th.
So far this season Gonzales has put up a .387 batting average with 104 hits, 64 home runs and 130 RBIs.
