Hit Parade: Rivera Pops 5 Hits
Tuesday, September 7th , 2049
Alex Rivera of the Rangers was unstoppable in today's 14-6 victory over the Greeneville Astros at Pioneer Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Texas (APP) catcher after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Alex Rivera hit a two-run single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Marty Jackson in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this year Rivera is batting .350 with 28 home runs, 109 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
