Peguero Clobbers 3 HR Against Cardinals
Monday, September 13th , 2049
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Alex Peguero did today at Howard Johnson Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 11-10.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Peguero said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The San Francisco (APP) Giants third baseman blistered the Johnson City Cardinals for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Johnson City manager Anthony Rizzo said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Alex Peguero struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Matt Rossiter in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ricky Enriquez in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Zart in the 9th and was hit by a pitch in the 10th.
Peguero is presently hitting at a .366 pace with 43 home runs and 123 RBIs. He has played in 104 games and scored 121 times.
