Vanegas Crashes 3 HR Against Chicago (APP) Friday, October 1st , 2049 Billings Mustangs first baseman Rich Vanegas left the Chicago (APP) pitching staff in ruins at Baseball City Complex today, beating the Cubs 30-3 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Vanegas told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Billings first baseman had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 3 and scored 5 runs. Rich Vanegas hit a solo-shot off Joshua Vincent in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Man-keung Li in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Masato Iwase in the 4th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. In the 2049 season Vanegas is hitting .336 with 24 home runs. |
