Jing Tames Astros 5-0, 15 Ks Sunday, October 3rd , 2049 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Gordon Jing, the Pulaski Yankees topped the Greeneville Astros today by a score of 5-0 at Calfee Park. The 21-year-old Jing brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 5 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Astros manager Kyle Bluestein said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." In 28 starts this season Jing has rung up a 4-17 record and a 6.33 ERA. |
