Great Stroke: Garza Gets 5 Hits
Wednesday, October 13th , 2049
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Pedro Garza of the Ogden Raptors had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate today in the 32-2 win over the Philadelphia (APP) Phillies at Lindquist Field.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 21-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Pedro Garza hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off RĂ¼diger Stritter in the 2nd, flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Takuzo Sato in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th.
Garza is batting .341 with 90 home runs and 221 RBIs this season.
