The manager of the Ogden Raptors said he thinks Juan Gallegos is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2049 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the National League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .348 batting average and a .471 on-base percentage this year. In 134 games he piled up 192 hits, 35 doubles, 2 triples, 88 home runs, 201 RBIs and 207 runs scored.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 30. Clark Meagher of the Miami (APP) Marlins finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Adam Maczko of the Ogden Raptors finished third with 2 first place votes.
