Giants Mojica Suffers 4-Game Suspension Friday, December 10th , 2049 The league commissioner's office has notified the San Francisco (WIN) Giants that second baseman Guillermo Mojica has been given a 4-game suspension for his involvement in an incident with the home plate umpire in yesterday's San Francisco (WIN)-Chicago (WIN) game at Scottsdale Stadium. After being called out on a pitch that he deemed a ball, Mojica aggressively expressed his displeasure and was promptly ejected from the game. In the league suspension notice, it stated that he was suspended for making an obscene gesture toward the umpires prior to entering the dugout. The league said that type of behavior would not be tolerated. Mojica and the Giants were unavailable for comment. This year Mojica has hit at a .237 pace and produced 2 RBIs, no home runs and scored 5 runs. |
