Braves Morales Smacks 6 Hits Tuesday, January 5th , 2049 It was a hits blitz for Bob Morales at Champion Stadium today. The Atlanta (WIN) Braves center fielder tore into the Los Angeles (WIN) Angels for 6 hits in 8 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Angels swept past the Braves 6-5 to ruin Morales's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Atlanta (WIN) manager Josh Hernandez explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 6 hits from Bob was nice but it wasn't enough." Bob Morales singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tim Anderson in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ricky Castillo in the 8th, singled in the 10th, flied out in the 12th, singled in the 15th and singled in the 18th. This season Morales is batting .357 with 2 home runs. |
