Injury Setback for Diamondbacks Ferguson Sunday, January 24th , 2049 All is not well with Kevin Ferguson in his recovery from a strained back muscle. The 26-year-old Diamondbacks left fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Ferguson and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Ferguson had re-injured himself and would now miss at least one week because of it. This season Ferguson is batting .225 with 20 hits, 1 home run, 11 RBIs, .271 OBP and has scored 5 runs. |
