Tuesday, December 31st , 2047
William-Floyd Goof has to call it a season. The Philadelphia (WIN) Phillies starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 12/29/2047 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as radial nerve compression and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months.
The team will likely place Goof on the injured list today.
On his stats sheet for the year Goof shows a 1-1 record, 6 starts, 22 innings, 34 strikeouts and a 2.86 ERA.
