Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Wednesday, August 11th , 2049
If there wasn't a history between Seth Cook of Washington and Link Zeller of Miami, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Cook said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
So far this season Cook is hitting .269 with 13 home runs, 50 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 394 at-bats and a .350 OBP.
To date Zeller is 7-10 in 24 starts with a 3.98 ERA and has 147 strikeouts in 156 innings.
