Minnesota Shuts Out Tigers, Jones Winner Tuesday, September 21st , 2049 Casey Jones kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Minnesota Twins were all smiles after winning 4-0 against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park today. The right-handed Jones gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits and had 7 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Jones said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
