Guardians Whitewashed by Salas Thursday, September 23rd , 2049 Ricky Salas shut out the Cleveland Guardians 6-0 on a 4-hit masterpiece for the Chicago White Sox at Progressive Field today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Chicago skipper Jake Turnbull said afterward. Salas registered 7 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Cleveland manager Bersha Nainco after the defeat.
