Wild Card Clinched by Kansas City Sunday, October 3rd , 2049 The Kansas City Royals certainly made things interesting. The American League Central Division club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said catcher Mike Meyerhoff. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Royals have in fact made it, with their 87-74 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 3rd Major League Baseball championship. |
