Braves Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep Tuesday, October 12th , 2049 The Atlanta Braves have swept the Cincinnati Reds and are on to the League Championship Series. Atlanta won 9-3 today at Great American Ball Park to clinch the Division Series. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Atlanta shortstop Yasuhide Kasahara, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Kasahara won the award with a .583 batting average and a .643 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Atlanta Braves don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Diego Padres - San Francisco Giants series. That series is tied at 1 game each.
