SS Froyd Signs with New York Friday, December 31st , 2049 Surprising some observers, the New York Yankees announced the signing of 36-year-old Josh Froyd today. The contract runs for 1 year and is valued at $14,000,000. Froyd was described as an "elder statesman" by club officials and former teammates, who apparently expect him to contribute as much in the clubhouse as he does on the field.
