DIV I Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, November 22nd , 2049 18-year-old Takashi Takeuchi sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Dvision 1 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Takeuchi made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .464 average, 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 5 home runs and 12 RBI. Where the Vanderbilt University Commodores left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Takeuchi certainly made his mark last week. This year Takeuchi is batting .322 with 104 hits and 25 home runs. He has scored 68 times and has batted in 70 runs. |
