Great Week for Fresno State University's Carlton Stannard Monday, December 6th , 2049 19-year-old Carlton Stannard sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Dvision 1 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Stannard made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .481 average, 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs and 10 runs batted in. Where the Fresno State University Bulldogs first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Stannard certainly made his mark last week. In 90 games this year Stannard has posted a .330 average and put up these numbers: 24 home runs, 66 RBIs and 59 runs scored. |
