Braves Quick Strikes out 15 Wednesday, September 8th , 2049 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Dave Quick, the Americus Braves topped the Houston Colt .45's today by a score of 2-1 at Colt .45's Stadium. The 19-year-old Quick brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 6 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Colt .45's manager Gregory Guerrero said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." So far this year Quick has 6 wins and 3 losses and a 3.15 ERA. |
