No Comeback This Season for Mesa Wednesday, September 15th , 2049 Steve Mesa has to call it a season. The Palm Beach Nationals reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 09/12/2049 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as shoulder inflammation and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. The team will likely place Mesa on the injured list today. To date in the season, Mesa is 2-7 with 45 relief appearances and 1 save. He has held opposing batters to a .316 average, pitched 106 innings, struck out 96 and walked 77 while recording a 7.64 ERA. |
