York Loses 2B Smart, Suspended by League
Thursday, September 16th , 2049
York second baseman Quincy Smart was ejected in the game between the Revolution and Reds for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Smart was just as incensed after the game.

"These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Smart said in the locker room after the game.

Now Smart must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Smart has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 2 games."

Smart is presently hitting at a .208 pace with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 33 times.
