League Suspends Tanner and Tremel for Brawl Saturday, September 25th , 2049 After an intense confrontation, both the Invaders Matt Tanner and the Capitals Jim Tremel were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Roswell-Victoria game. Matt Tanner will miss 4 games, while Jim Tremel was suspended for 2 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Matt Tanner commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far this season Tanner is hitting .131 with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 8 hits in 61 at-bats and has played in 62 games. On the year, Tremel has recorded no saves with a 2-0 record over 9.1 innings.
