Twiss Belts 6 Hits Thursday, September 30th , 2049 Colorado right fielder Tyler Twiss could do no wrong in today's 12-1 win over the Blasters as he collected 6 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Blasters skipper Rob Wort said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Twiss agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Tyler Twiss doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run triple in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Lea in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Kevin Lea in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Castillo in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. This season Twiss has hit at a .193 clip with 36 RBIs, 14 home runs and 26 runs scored. |
