Nationals No Match for Huber, Marlins in 10-0 Thumping
Saturday, October 2nd , 2049
Todd Huber was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He led the Miami Beach Marlins to victory 10-0, blanking the Palm Beach Nationals on 2 hits. He had 4 walks and 10 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," Palm Beach skipper Greg Mahle told reporters after the shutout loss. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
This season Huber has a 11-6 mark in 22 starts with a 3.59 ERA. He has given up 121 hits in 153 innings, struck out 162 and issued 62 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .217 batting average against him.
