Players Suspended in Red Wings-Reds Donnybrook
Saturday, October 9th , 2049
After an intense confrontation, both the Red Wings Ryan Adams and the Reds Toyohiro Nakagawa were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Detroit-Columbus game. Ryan Adams will miss 2 games, while Toyohiro Nakagawa was suspended for 7 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ryan Adams commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
So far this year, Adams is batting .259 with 8 home runs and 42 RBIs.
In 14 starts this year Nakagawa has recorded a 6-8 record and a 3.31 ERA.
